Glutinous rice is steamed and then worked until it becomes sticky. The rice is then cut into smaller portions and then covered with a variety of different powders. These powders are usually made from some kind of bean or sesame seeds. To prepare injeolmi preheat your oven to 375F. Then mix sweet rice flour with sugar and salt. Then add a little bit of water and mix well. One should use a small ring mold to give the injeolmi the proper shape. Grease this mold and then spoon in the batter and cover with foil. Be sure to grease the foil as well. Bake for 1 hour. The rice cake should remain chewy and no crust should form. After baking remove from oven and place rice cake on a cutting board and chop it into bite size pieces. Mix bean powder with sugar and then roll the rice cakes in the powder. Heat will harden the rice cake quickly so after they are separated and covered with bean powder place them in the fridge to help preserve them.
