From the Airport to Seoul The three main methods of transportation from the Incheon International Airport to Seoul’s city center are the limousine bus, the taxi and the airport rail A’REX. Limousine Bus This method of transportation is used frequently. There are many routes, and if the destination and the stops are close to each other, there is no need to transfer. Furthermore, the fare is quite reasonable so it’s convenient. Limousine buses are generally divided into luxury limousine buses (Includes KAL limousine bus) and standard limousine buses. ※ Take note that the travel time may vary depending on the time of the day, destination and traffic condition. |

These buses do not have many seats (usually 3 per row) so people can travel into Seoul spaciously. The routes have a small number of stops so the travel time is shorter. However, the fare is about twice the standard limousine bus fare. Announcements are also done in Japanese as well. Furthermore, there is also a line which goes around main hotels, which makes it convenient for visitors.

・Standard Limousine Bus
The seats are arranged 4 seats per row, in groups of 2. The fare is less than that of luxury limousine bus. The routes have many bus stops so travel time is longer, but the bus reaches main areas in Seoul as those areas right outside of Seoul. However, the bus may pass by stops without stopping when no one is getting off, and since Japanese is not used on the buses, this is recommended for those who are used to travelling in Korea.

Purchasing tickets / bus stops On the 1st floor, at the arrival lobby of the Incheon International Airport, is the limousine bus departure center. Make sure to check the signs and the information counter for bus numbers. Information counters are at exits 2,4,9 and 13, and this is where bus tickets can be purchased. KAL limousine bus tickets can be bought at the KAL limousine bus ticket counter on the 1st floor or at departure stops 4B and 11A.

Taxi The fare is quite expensive, but it's a door-to-door service and also a comfortable method of transportation. Taxis are divided into 'standard taxi,' 'exemplary taxi' and 'international taxi.' 'Exemplary taxi' is more expensive than standard taxis but provides better service and safety. Furthermore, it also provides more drivers who can speak Japanese. International taxis have fixed fare to Seoul city hotels, and price starts from 55,000 won.

It connects Incheon International Airport to Gimpo Airport, and passengers may transfer to the Seoul subway at Gimpo Airport. Although passenger need to transfer, this method of transportation has the benefit of allowing passengers to travel to their destination on time, regardless of traffic conditions. The fare to Gimpo Airport is 3,400 won and takes about 33 minutes. The departure center is on the 1st floor of the airport, at the center of terminal 1 and 2. Gimpo Airport connects to subway lines 5 and 9.

From Gimpo Airport to Seoul City Center From the Gimpo Airport, there are three methods of transportation, which are the bus, taxi and the subway. The buses can be divided into ‘luxury limousine bus,’ the ‘standard limousine bus’ and the ‘standard bus.’ Normal bus fare is affordable, and the bus has many stops, but it’s for travelers who are experienced in moving around in Seoul.
