Hi Seoul Festival
In Seoul, each of the four seasons boasts a distinct vibe and unique flavor. Paying tribute to this, the city of Seoul organizes four festivals during the year – one per season, each of which highlights a different aspect of Seoul’s diverse cultural offerings. The spring festival pays homage to the ancient tradition of the Lotus Lantern Festival in honor of Buddha’s Birthday. The numerous outdoor activities of the Han River are featured in the summer festival. The fall festival features the vibrant performing arts culture of Korea, and the winter festival transforms the city into a stunning vision of lights.
The following photo essay presents glimpses into the four distinct faces of the Hi Seoul Festival.
