Enjoy Captivating Displays of Color and Light at the 2012 Seoul Lantern Festival!

The 4th annual Seoul Lantern Festival will be held from November 2nd to November 18th this year at Cheonggyecheon, for a total of 17 days.

One of the capital’s flagship events, the Seoul Lantern Festival is a visual feast of hundreds of thousands of lanterns hand-crafted by local and international artisans. This year, the lanterns will interpret the theme "Seoul's Roots, the Lifestyles of Our Ancestors" – and will highlight Seoul's 2000 year-old history and many traditions. The lanterns will be lit every day after 5PM until 11PM. 

Visitors will be able to gaze upon and stroll through the lanterns on display from Cheonggye Plaza to all the way to Seungyo Bridge. The festival will kick off with a lighting ceremony, and will feature several fun events such as wish lantern-making and new year lantern-making.
