The Time capsule was established to store 600 relics, which represent the lifestyles of the average person living in Seoul; to commemorate Seoul’s 600th anniversary.

Constructed crater using meteoric stone to symbolize the perpetuity of time

    - Circular Plaza Dimensions : Outer Diameter: 42 m, Inner Diameter: 27 m, Depth: 5.7 m

    - Central flagstone Design, Composition & Dimensions : Base Diameter: 7.5 m, Depth: 0.7 m

    - Composition: granite base Design: 12 lights installed

4. Capsule

Diameter: 1.4 m, Height: 2.1, Weight: 2.5 tons

Patterned after the Bosingak Bell, Pentagonal structure coated with STS 316L fiberglass reinforced plastic, and silica gel

Vacuum sealed (1/1000mm Hg) and instilled with argon gas

5. Collection

600 objects to represent the city and people of Seoul in the year 1994

Stored in miniatures, on microfilm and VCD.
