As part of the Chuseok celebrations, the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts (NCKTPA) will be hosting the `Asia Hangawi Festival` on October 3rd. Various traditional customs and folk games will be taking place, enabling anyone to enjoy and learn about one of the most important holidays in Korea.
This festival will celebrate not only Chuseok, but also two other Asian harvest festivals, namely Vietnam`s Tet Trung Thu and China`s Zhongqiu Jie. Folk groups from both countries have been invited to perform, while also introducing their traditional culture. The festival will be a rare opportunity to experience not one but three harvest festivals of different cultures together in one place.
The event will take place at the Byeolmajiteo plaza, outside the NCKTPA complex. It`s accessible by subway from Nambu Bus Terminal station (line 3) or Bangbae station (line 2).
